Most couples spend months planning a wedding and about 20 minutes actually choosing their photographer. It's worth getting right.

The photographer you book will be with you for most of the day. They'll be in your getting-ready room, standing next to you during the ceremony, at the table during speeches. They set the tone. If they're awkward, you'll feel it. If they're calm, sociable and easy to be around, your guests will warm to them, you'll relax, and the whole day will flow better.

That's what I'm here for. Not to direct your wedding like a shoot, but to be a relaxed, trusted presence who captures it honestly while you get on with living it.

We were both a little nervous ahead of it, but Elis did a great job of putting us both at ease. It all felt very natural. The photos he took were amazing and we have printed and framed far more than we thought we would.

  • Pre-wedding questionnaire. About a month before the day I'll ask you to fill in the details: key guests, family groupings, anything sensitive I should be aware of, what matters most to you and what doesn't

  • Pre-wedding call. We run through the day together, make sure we're aligned on timings and logistics, and iron out anything that's changed so you can go into the day feeling completely relaxed

  • Available throughout by email. For timeline tweaks, or anything else that comes up in the run-up

On the day:

  • I arrive early, settled, and ready so the morning feels calm rather than chaotic

Make the most of your wedding package. Add an engagement shoot

A relaxed 60–90 minute shoot before the big day. Most couples who do one say it completely changes how they feel in front of the camera on the wedding day. You arrive already comfortable, already relaxed, already knowing how we work together.

It also gives you something most couples don't think to ask for: a set of natural, everyday photos of the two of you that have nothing to do with the wedding. Just you, as you are right now.

Not mandatory, but genuinely recommended.

£285 standalone or £150 when booked alongside your wedding package.

I take a limited number of weddings each year to make sure every couple gets my full attention. If your date is coming up, it's worth checking availability sooner rather than later.

Your photos will outlast almost everything else from your wedding day. The flowers are gone by Monday. The food is a memory. What you'll still be looking at in twenty years are the faces, the moments, and the feeling of being there.

If that sounds like what you're after, I’d love to hear from you.

He made us confident to trust him with capturing the day so that we could just enjoy it and focus on being present.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • As soon as you can. Popular dates, especially Saturdays from May to September, book up quickly. I take a limited number of weddings each year, so if your date is coming up it's worth checking availability sooner rather than later.

  • Yes. For larger weddings (120+ guests) I'd recommend a second photographer for full coverage. We can discuss this during your consultation.

  • Very unlikely, but if something serious happened I'd arrange a trusted professional photographer to cover your day and I'd still edit the photos myself so the style and quality remain consistent.

  • Yes. I recommend keeping them minimal — immediate family and wedding party, done quickly and efficiently so you're back to your day. If you want 20 different configurations of posed family photographs, I'm probably not the right fit.

  • Yes, you receive high-resolution, fully edited files. Yours to print, share and keep forever with no restrictions.

  • No. My edit is an essential part of what I offer. The colour grading, tone and style are as much a part of the work as the photography itself.

  • Both. Your gallery will have a natural mix, with black and white used where it adds to the mood or emotion of a moment.

  • Absolutely. We can meet via Google Meet or in person if you're local to Wimbledon and Surrey. The engagement shoot is also a great way to spend some proper time together before the wedding.

  • Yes. I shoot across the UK and beyond. Travel within a reasonable distance of London is included. For destinations further afield or overseas, we can discuss travel costs during your consultation.

  • Fully. Professional indemnity and public liability insurance in place for every wedding.

  • I bring backup equipment to every wedding. Backup camera bodies, lenses and memory cards. Every image is written to two cards simultaneously so nothing is ever lost.
