Water’s Edge at Ewen - Sophie & Tristan

A Relaxed, Joyful Spring Wedding at Water’s Edge, Ewen

Some wedding days just feel right from the moment you arrive. That was Sophie & Tristan’s March wedding at Water’s Edge, a beautiful wedding venue in the Cotswold village of Ewen. It’s a place that feels tucked away from the world. Calm, warm, and full of character.

A Hidden Gem of a Cotswolds Wedding Venue

Water’s Edge at Ewen is a perfect fit for couples looking for a relaxed Cotswolds wedding in a natural setting. With rustic stone buildings, wooden barns, and winding paths through the trees, it strikes a rare balance - rustic without being rough, elegant without being overdone.

Sophie & Tristan held their outdoor ceremony under a wooden pagoda, surrounded by nature. Even in early spring, the light was soft, creating an intimate atmosphere that was a joy to capture.

A Wedding Day Built Around People, Not Posing

What stood out most about this day was the ease of it all. Nothing felt staged or overly planned. Just people being present. Laughing, hugging, catching up, and soaking it all in.

This was exactly the kind of day I love to photograph: natural, relaxed, and full of heart. No awkward posing, no pressure. Just real moments that matter.

I wasn’t the lead photographer, but I was lucky enough to second shoot alongside the brilliant Andrew Jukes, a good friend and talented wedding photographer.
